Just as every student needs a champion, so do administrators and teachers. There is greatness in the power of positive collaborations between the key characters in the school context. The relationships that exist in the school context are emerging as key indicators of well-being of all involved in a child’s education. In our Well-Being at Work research, we have largely focused on the teachers and administrators. Our findings from one-on-one interviews and large-scale surveys support the need for autonomy in the classroom and the key role that relationships between teachers, administrators, and policymakers can play in fostering it.
